Looking good there Soundog. I would worry about being Heer and wearing Oak , I do it myself when I want to crawl around and not trash my Feldgraus. Purists would argue it didn't happen, but as far as airsoft goes it's quite plausible.

Any plans to get some gaitors for your boots? , I think Warren has some post war ones quite cheap .

Gaitors are on my 'want' list, along with a few other bit's and pieces... I'll post a wish list in the 'Wanted' forum when I get the time...

Yeah cool pics soundog.

Yo can always get away with tight lacing your boots and wearing trousers loose over your boots, frequently done by axis troops on theforn tline when they were not around seniour officers, even when wearing marching/jack boots.

I have numerous period pics showing this.

Sounds good for the short term, the perfectionist in me is screaming 'GAITORS' tho!!

Cheers for all the positive comments guys, what a friendly place this is!

Well gaiters are pretty inexpensive as far as kit goes, I have a few pairs of olive "commando socks" from Yeoman's (rrp about £5 a pair so not cheap!) which I wear when I go skirmishing. There pretty long so I fold them over the top of my boots like seen in this picture (i'm the hooded yob with a tea cosy on left).

I've seen german wwii soldiers do that too, mainly very late war.

Yeah post war bundy gaiters look almost idnetical to wwii ones and are abut a fiver on ebay.

Aha! On closer inspection I see Soundog has gone for the Steingrau early-war trousers. 8)

Battlesim (US organization) recently did a WWII photoshoot and video session (video will be hopefully forrthcoming soon) at a local Fort.

I am the lone German, and yes I know I need to:
Get a new smock
Tuck my laces in
Get a new belt/buckle

The Garand is an AEG version...the 1928 is a prop model gun...MP40 is AGM with fakebake applied....Grease Gun is Hudson.

There were about 300 photos taken...and about 70 were posted. These are what I would consider "the highlights".

I dunno why, but that one works brilliantly...

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Thanks guys! I didnt know there were so many guys into WWII airsoft across the pond

I kinda think the cigarette pulls the picture together honestly..that and the photo isnt (and doesnt look) posed.

Works well because the depth of field is relativly shallow, focusing on the main subject and keeping the near distance and background out of focus.

Edit to Add : Very good photos Chap!!

Like some of Chomley's excellent photos...depth of field makes the picture.
